I found that an early morning stroll to view the flooding, was the best way to catch the quiet and the birdsong that you can hear instead of the constant drone of cars.
It was a lovely peaceful moment.
If only the cars, paid attention to the road closed signs!
Locals have to keep an eye on the flood levels in order to move their car.
Levels can creep.
Everytime the roads are closed, we always get many many vehicles chancing it. HGV's and Tractors can actually make it through, but not an SUV. Even a Land Rover would struggle without snorkel.
The road is closed to ALL vehicles because of debris or damage though. The current coming across the main part of the road is very strong as one side of the Severn empties across the fields into the other side of the Severn.
